How to get to Ford House

  From Glasgow follow directions to Dumbarton and Loch Lomond along the A82 until you reach Tarbet. Stay on that road as it turns westwards and becomes the A83 and follow it to Lochgilphead. On the way you will drive through well known places such as Arrochar, the 'Rest And Be Thankful' Pass and Inveraray. From Lochgilphead, take the A816 Oban road to Kilmartin: about 1 mile after Kilmartin take a right turn onto the B840 signposted Ford. After approximately 2 ½ miles Ford House is on the left at the junction.

  From Oban follow the A816 southwards as it makes its way along Loch Feochan and Loch Melfort, through Kilmelford and Arduaine. After approximately 28 miles, and about 1 mile before Kilmartin take a left turn onto the B840 signposted Ford. After approximately 2 ½ miles Ford House is on the left at the junction.

  From Campbeltown take the A83 road northwards to Tarbert and Lochgilphead. A couple of miles after Ardrishaig, just before entering Lochgilphead you will come to a mini-roundabout: drive straight across onto the A816 Oban road to Kilmartin. About 1 mile after Kilmartin take a right turn onto the B840 signposted Ford. After approximately 2 ½ miles Ford House is on the left at the junction.
